 This interactive zoom session with Scratchworks Theatre Company, focuses on devising & collaboration for those interested in developing their creative practice in a group environment.

For artists and creatives out there who are interested in making their own work, explore improvisation/devising/creative writing, or just feel like getting inspired and connected through some collaborative creative energy

We will explore key tools for the devising process including idea generation, improvisation, creative writing & movement. In this 2 hour workshop, we will aim to fuse the unique talents and collective creativity of the group. Zoom will allow us to collaborate with people across the UK & internationally too.

This workshop will be led by Alice Higginson-Clarke: a theatre-maker, performer & writer who has been a Co-Artistic Director of Scratchworks Theatre Company since it began in 2013. Scratchworks is a female-led company specialising in physical theatre, comedy & storytelling for audiences of all ages.

 Wth 10 years' award-winning track record of highly visual and playful theatre, Scratchworks is a physical ensemble of three women who make all of their fantastic productions from scratch, blending physical comedy, puppetry and live music to entertain and inspire the audience. They are also experienced in delivering all kinds of workshops for all ages.

Alice is praised by Waterway's previous partcipants for her great ability in creating a relaxing, encouraging and fun group environment where everyone is supported to explore, create and learn.

This session is suitable for all levels of ability, from complete beginners looking to learn more about devising or for those with more experience looking to develop their collaborative practice.

For this session you will need a piece of paper & pen. A private space is also recommended.
